I would advise any of you guys going down to take a good mousturiser with you as your skin will get very dry from the elements and washing all the time.
You are told before leave not to take any military kit home with you and that you shouldn't wear anything with a globe and laurel or 'Royal Marines ...

Best of luck for when you go down. Apart from the pain, cold and missery it really is quite good fun at Lympstone. I can't wait to get back there.

I'll be starting week 5 when I get back from leave. It seems like I was down there for a lot longer than 4 weeks though. It feels like my home now and I can't wait to get back.

I wouldn't worry about trying to prepare yourself for doing drill. Everyone will be quite bad at it at the start of training but you all progress quickly. If you want to get through the first couple of weeks easily I would advise practicing ironing your clothes perfectly and folding them to A4 size ...

Hi, did the afco give you a grren booklet called 'Royal Marines Commando'? If you've got that the info for all the tests is in there, or id not here's what you need.

Pressups - minimum 20, maximum 60
Situps - minimum 30, maximum 80
Pullups - minimum 3, maximum 6

Before my PRMC I was also told to train twice a day. I don't think it's something you need to do all the time. If you do it a couple of times a week you should get a benefit from it . It would also be a good experience to do 4 hard sessions over a period of ...

Hi, on my PRMC we did the pullups with our hands a little more than shoulder width apart. They say you need a minimum of 3, but you should really be aiming for at least 6.
