Hi guys,

I just thought id let you know i got 40 commando which is what i was hoping for. Me and 7 others got it. Im chuffed to bits, very nervous, but over the moon i got my first choice...

Thanks again for helping me through training and being something i could turn to to get questions answered ...

Ha ha. I think they all prefered the sound of your troop to be honest mate. You lot had San Carlos, duvets the works we were told. To be honest it did sound inviting :D

Howd Final Ex. go mate? It's a good exercise really, if youve got the weather! Did any of the lads from 881 fail?

The first 15 weeks for me went really slowly, they seemed to drag on forever. But once i entered phase 2 it flew by.

Got my green beret!!

Hi guys,

Well, i did it! Last tuesday i successfully completed the 30 miler and was awarded my green beret and commandos flashes in the pouring rain and bloody wind.
By far it was undoubtedly the proudest day of my life and it still hasn't quite sunk in that im a Royal Marines Commando!!

Sorry to hear youre in Hunter mate. A lot of lads from my troop- 881 are in there at the mo. My room mate who i started training with was put in there on friday, week 28!! i was guttered to see him go.

In the first few weeks of training your weekends will be taken up with gym or drill sessions. Most of the time you'll only be doing saturday mornings but occasionly youll do sunday as well.

You get weekends off in the schedule and a couple of long weekend leaves ( friday-sunday) but it's all down ...
