Ha, you're pretty optimistic about the admin ability of the Corps.
I must have filled in my troop bible sheet half a dozen times. As for NOK forms, I assume someone at HQ is using them for roaches and they must be a 40 a day man.
Ocassionally you won't have to fill in a form again because they ...

As said before, the best answers will come from calling the unit but just to give you an idea.

PJFT and PRMC are what you go to if you are going regular.

In the RMR it's just a selection weekend followed by an induction weekend probably on consecutive weekends. Then you're in (assuming you pass ...

It's ok, you can go on holiday with your girlfriend.

So long as you've got good reasons (ie not just "I didn't feel like phys so I decided to stay at home") no-one will mind at all.
Make sure you let the training team know you won't be there though. Otherwise they may have prepared a lecture and ...

You're right, the week on week increases are pretty tough. When I started the program I actually had a few months to spare rather than the 6 weeks it suggests. So I did each of the weeks on there 2 or 3 times before progressing, which made it much easier.

Running in boots, yeah tricky one. Of ...

Looks like you'll have no problem.
Rugby is good training for prmc because it requires a similar sort of fitness. Just make sure you don't get yourself injured.

I think it's generally agreed that CV and is the most imporant thing for PRMC. So if you're busy one week and have to miss a day from the ...

Re: GAME OVER

i train like an athlete seeing as im un-employed, so im not unfit by no mans standards

I hate to tell you this but if you can't do a mile and a half in 10 minutes 45, you do not train like an athlete.
All of the top 1000 runners in the london marathon finished in under 3 hours which is equivalent ...

If you want a training program the one on the RMR london site is good http://www.reserve-forces-london.org.uk ... ining2.htm. Nice and progressive, since the RMR suggest it themselves you know it will get you to the right level, and it worked for me.

It's possible but it's probably the hardest, slowest way to get a driving licence that there is.
Before you can do anything else you're going to have to finish commando training (a year if you don't get back trooped, could be longer). Then you'll have to wait for a drivers course to come along, a ...

Not sure if I should be encouraging this but it's always nice to see people who are keen.

Regain technique:

Start off hanging down from the rope by your hands (one on either side)

Pull your chest up to the rope
Throw your head back and your hips up
Hook your right foot over the rope

That's the ...

It definitely is posible, encouraged even. In fact there was a guy going through RMR training with me recently who transfered after only 8 months or so, no problems at all. As always with these things ask your AFCO and explain to the RMR unit what you're hoping to do. So long as you ask their advice ...

The way to get better at press-ups is..... do lots of press-ups. Sets of them during circuit training, as many as you can at the end of your runs and bang them out during the ...

I'm not sure what the exact procedure is but I know you don't have to redo your commando course if you want to go regular.
However, it's quite common to join the RMR while at university then go for the officer route in the regulars when you finish. If you want to do that then you do have to start ...

The Royal Marines don't run any large ships themselves but the ones they are most likely to find themselves on as an embarked force are:
HMS Ocean (as you figured out) HMS Albion or HMS Bulwark .
The boats that the Marines run themselves are smaller http://www.royal-navy.mod.uk/static/pages/7851 ...

Walter,
The commando tests for the RMR are exactly the same as the regulars.

If all goes well it's 6 months or so of weekend exercises and tuesday evenings followed by 2 weeks at lympstone with some tests then another 6 months then back to lympstone for 2 weeks including the commando tests ...
