Do they comment on an individuals ability to learn or character or perhaps how they work in a team. What about fitness etc is that mentioned? Is a persons medical history ...

Basically whilst browsing I noticed its actually possible to obtain a copy of your record for a small fee. As Im ex TA and ...

Big lad then! how tall are you?I dunno if im correct but Im sure as well as there being entry restrictions on lads who are underweight, there are also restrictions on being too heavy. I was about 13stone when i went in but i'll tell you now the wait drops off you because of the phys that you do etc ...

A few of the NCO's on the training staff are well in to their rugby and play for the Regiment team so you will be in good company. Dont stop your rugby training m8 at all! but just keep aiming on cracking that 3mile in 24 minute target. I do weights twice a week using just the big basics and run 3 ...

Give it time mate and balance your training to be more areobic orientated. Emphasize endurance/distance ...

Have you got a civilian trade to fall back on? Id suggest go for it. age limit for marines has been bumped up to 32 so your by no means past it. Im 30 now and tempted to apply myself but my loyalty lies with the rockapes who im currently reapplying for (was in last year but came out - long story) As ...

I think when I done the 3 miler it was 24 minutes max. You do it on PGAC and also initially in the first week or so on the trainee gunner course. The 3miler on PGAC is a straight forward run paced by the PTI and run as a squad. The 3 miler on the trainee gunner course is best individual effort. Your ...

longer gunner recruit course
Does anyone know in comparison how the new longer gunner recruits course fares to the older shorter one? Are subjects taught more in depth over a longer timescale or is there more course content i.e map reading now included? How about phys, is that harder or not? Just interested to know!

detached retina
I have had an operation for a detached retina about 5month ago. It was only noticed by chance on a routine checkup and i never had any symptoms to suggest i had one. It was caused years earlier from an impact injury (probably boxing) and not caused by natural weakness in the eye. My vision has never ...
