2000-2300 calories per day would definately be the end of me. The average male eats about 2600 calories per day, and you should be eating more than average to keep up with your active life. Have you noticed any weight loss? You should probably be asking a doctor about this in case it's something ...

I also wear New Balance and I've heard Asics are just as good. It's important to have them look at your feet while you run a few steps so they can recommend some proper fitting shoes. My feet over-pronate and I never would have bought shoes with the right support if I hadn't done this.

I'll take just about any specialisation that I can use later in life. As far as I know, there isn't a big demand for mountain leaders in civie world these days :D

But as a commonwealth citizen, my choices are quite restricted

Once you complete your professional training you can leave after 3 years (ie your Return of Service).

Minimum airman engagement is 9 years + 6 in the Reserve.

So just to make sure I have this right, I can leave the RAF Regiment 3 years after I finished training if I wanted? (not saying that I ...

Minimum Term of Service

I'm interested in the RAF Regiment and was wondering about the minimum term of service. The website says 9 years with the option to extend it after 4 years. Is it possible to leave the RAF after 4 years, or do you have to stay on for 9 years?

Living off base?

How easy is it for someone who has just joined the army to live off base? I know the pay makes it hard, but other than they pay, how hard/easy is it?

Not sure if you've checked the 'profiles' section of the army website, but it has a short profile written by someone in the Intelligence Corps. Gives a little info on a job that's hard to find any info about.

Redhand,

Yes I am looking at joining the British Army now. I agree that it's more appealing for a Canadian than our own army is for a variety of reasons. Not sure exactly what trade I'm planning on taking, I'm still a bit confused by the GCSE's and A-levels, plus a British recruiter told me that a ...

I'm Canadian and looked into joining the American military about 6 years ago. An American immigration lawyer told me it's not possible to join unless you are an American citizen or have a green card, but the green card is quite difficult to get and the only realistic way for me to get one was for my ...
