Your own people may try and block your move if there is a shortage of your trade.

Para wings you keep for life don't matter what unit you transfer to, including going into the cadets as adult officers. I think its against queens regulations not to wear the wings if you have been issued with them anyway.

You hear all sorts of stories about reasons for not joining a particular unit. I think some of these Recruiting types go by preconceived ideas about what certain units expect as opposed to finding out the facts.
