Most of my dads side of the family were involved in the war..Great grandad a Royal marine, other Great Grandad fireman during the blitz,Grandfather Merchant Nazy amazingly all made it out alive. Ulitmatley D-Day sped up the whole proccess but it was only inevitable tht the germans would lose.

Military history...job wise
Wonder if anyone has any links ideas/suggestions for me..I am very interested in military history and hope to mayb consider it as a job. What courses do u think i should take in uni? is there a degree course such as English Military history? and would i then have to work for teh MOD as a historian ...

info on old marine(dunno where to post this)
Does anyone know how to gain web access to old records. My great grand father was a Royal Marine in world war 2
. I have his commission but i have been unable to find any information on the web about him or the RMC's during ww2 does anyone have any links??
