Re-applying & Appeals

Hi everyone,

Just a quick description of my background last year.

I started recruit training for the Royal Corp of Signals in November '05. During my first two weeks, I had some family problems (parents split up and mother got cancer), so obviously this affected my time in training and I decided ...

The only thing I am trying to prove here is that you have no idea who I am or what I do, so why even try drag me down to your level. All you have done is make a fool of yourself by jumping to the conclusion that I am a low-life scally, when the absolute opposite is true!

It is quite evident from ...

Look, you're arguing with someone you have never met before and know nothing about. People make mistakes, simple fact - accept it!

Or are you telling me that you have never made a mistake in your life?

Normally it is a fine and 6 points on your license if you are caught insured, but even the judge ...

Sisyphus, I'm fully comp under my father and it is supposed to cover us third-party on other vehicles; however, what I didn't realise was that it actually only covered the primary policy holder third-party. If I had known, I wouldn't have driven the vehicle in the first place, so chill the f*ck out ...

I was convicted at court a month back for driving without the appropriate car insurance and was fined £250.

Will this affect my application in to the marines and do I have to declare this as unspent, even though I have paid it?

Cheers guys... so you think I could stand a good chance of being given a second chance, as long as I be honest with them?

I'm seeing the recruitment officer next week on my day off. As long as I know that I will be accepted on condition I pass all the stages, irregardless of the UFAS, then it's ...

Re-applying

Hi all,

Just after some advice really.

I applied to join the Royal Marines last year. I got through the whole application process up until PRMC, but I was having a lot of problems at home and such, so I had to keep delaying it. I won't delve in to them, as they are very personal.

Anyway, I ...

Living & Working in Europe

Hi all,

This maybe an unusual question, but I have been thinking long and hard about living and working in Europe (Spain, France, etc), but I require more information on how this may be done.

I am 20 now with good A levels and some work background. I have been selfemployed for 4yrs working as an e ...

I agree with you dalo. During my school years, I was reasonably fit. Maybe about average, but once I started at college, the last thing on my mind was fitness, even though I knew I wanted to join the RMs after I had finished college.

Well, like you, after about 6 months hard work, I am now down ...

Thanks for replying.

I've taken some of the advice given and come up with a new program for PRMC:

MON - Intense:
Upper/Lower body circuit (9 exercises)
4 mile run with 'optional' sprint circuit

TUE - Light:
60 min. light gym or swim

WED - Intense:
Upper/Lower body circuit
4 mile run with sprint ...

Almost forgot. For the past month or so, I have been training on and off doing Fartlek and 4-5 mile runs (upper body circuits straight after). I haven't been able to run a training programme for too long, because I end up getting severe overtraining symtoms.

Again, any advice would be greatly ...
