For example, I can quote Jagger as saying that he quit training because it was too easy.

Um, wrong. I NEVER said I quit training because it was too easy. What I did say, or meant to say, was quiting was the hardest thing I had to do at CTC. I never said it was honourable, but i've said in my ...

It's not that training was easy. Just that quitting was harder because I knew what I was sacrificing to go home, letting all my oppos down etc, absolutely killed me, but in the end you learn from mistakes.

I don't think the Irish Army will be harder than the RM training. I think RM training has put ...

Sorry, didn't make it clear in my last post. I was addressing the other posters mainly. Alot of wannabe walter spotters going around on the boards recently. I might take up Walter Walter Walter Spotting. But maybe i'm a walter too anyway, i'll know the answer to that in a few months time ...

Jesse, had you not considered joining other forces before joining the Royal Marines? If you were going to be MD'd from the marines would you not look into joining other forces and weighing up their benefits? Keep in mind that the recruitment process for the Irish Army this year is extremely short. I ...

Do your A-Levels bro. You have 2 years to spare. You don't NEED to work, so why not work on bettering yourself?? Your motivation alone won't guarantee you get into the RGJ, there are alot of things that can totally f**k up your chances that are out of your control. One of my best oppos in training ...

What will Britain do if it pulls out of the EU? It will have to do something. Maybe NAFTA? I'm not sure that the US even would want Britain in NAFTA at this stage. Britian is the US's greatest ally in europe and there is no doubt that the US will want strong sway in the EU. Bringing the UK into ...

I think most people will have the same experiences Gary. Most people just don't understand why there are people like us and why they want to join the military and it's extremely hard to explain it to them, by god i've tried. Luckily for you, when you join the RA you'll find you're among people with ...

Certainly haven't Tab. The SA80 is a pretty nice weapon to fire, just saying compared to other bullpups, Steyr in my case, i've found it abit awkward in comparison. Maybe they've made it more user friendly with the A2, but I haven't had the chance to fire one.

Lol BBR, that's a pretty bad record there alright! I dunno how many thousands rounds i fired through my issued SA80A1 during training, but I only ever got 1 stoppage, and it was because of a bust mag. I dunno what was up with the rifle I got, it just never jammed!! :D Even when we were crawling ...

Why is it that every new weapon seems to have the mag on the rear? Am I the only one that see no advantage to this other than saving space, thats a serious comment, inlight me, I want to know?
