RAF hercs

First off this isn't the RAF's fault. f you wanna blame anyone head up Whitehall!

I think some of you need to realise what the RAF AT fleet is actually being tasked to do these days.

In case you haven't noticed they're stretched to the limit, with regular commitments to Iraq, Afghanistan, the ...

Evening all,

Good luck for everyone still in the sift!!

In regards to the fitness tests, am I right that they're no longer assessed? If so how comes it's still in the battery of tasks on OASC?

At a guess is it an indicator for successful applicants of how their fitness needs to improve when at ...

Seriously buddy,

In regards to current affairs, pick six topics, and make sure they're varied.

For eg. a couple of international affairs, a couple domestic and a couple economic. Make sure you have your own opinions about them aswell as they will ask!

As you've mentioned, keep up to date with the ...

I'm waiting to get on a P1 presentation again, with a view of getting to OASC by March/April hopefully.

I guess it relates to competition. Mine also said 'acceptable'.

When I was there the white paper was looming and we received a brief stating that competition was fierce due to not knowing their ...

Hi Rogue,

Am I right in that your score was 17 and overall a 3? Does it mention what your overall OASC performance was?

I know what you mean about the president's remarks. I think that's nothing unusual, I like you were commented on my weakness being problem solving, hence why I'm doing all I can ...

I can vaguely (sp?) help you with Eng O as a friend of mine has just completed it.

After IOT, it's a 9 mth (I believe) course at Cranwell in the Supply and Engineering sqn, however that's where my gen finishes!

Have a look on the Cranwell website as I believe there is some info there, and same ...

Can someone explain to me what the format for OASC is now?

Has it changed because looking on the careers website it seems that the group planning exercise has been taken out and is now back with the individual planning exercise.

Anyone know up to date gen?

I'm heading back to the AFCO within the next few days.

I'm gonna be getting in contact with some of the squadrons aswell to see if I can get a visit organised. I did it with 56(R)sqn when applying for WSO, and that was a piece of pi$$ to square away.

Certainly putting a much bigger emphasis on ...

Sorry for not getting back to you until now, but here's an idea as to what to expect.

It was a three day affair starting on the tuesday afternoon and ending about midday thursday.

In regards to your turn out, go in a suit, after all you're being assessed on your 'officer' potential.

The coach ...

If you start Cranditz as a student officver its somewhere around 20k. If you're going in as an officer cadet, then its like Rockapemk1 said, around about £1k a month.

Apologies for the void everyone, just got back from skiing in France
