I had a similar problem with lower back pain. Think in my case it was caused by doing sit-ups with my feet wedged under something, which puts extra strain on your lower back.

If I were you i'd just rest for upto a week and if the pain is still there, consider seeing a physio.

Laser eye surgery is definately not accepted in the marines, i checked this at my medical. The doctor said the two branches under the navy that don't accept it are divers and marines. As for having it done after you join, well i wouldn't know about that but your eyesight doesn't sound that bad.

I'm not sure if you'll need to take all that stuff with you. They asked me to bring my passport etc. with me to the written test where they photocopied everything and checked all the forms out there.

The written test isn't that difficult, they give you a practice booklet with example questions ...

Thanks for the advice. I think I'll ease back a bit and try exercising every other day to see if it makes a difference. Maybe some kind of weights session once a week would help?
