One of my ancestors, Leslie Edward Charles Denzey got the DSM on board HMS Sealion during WW2, another ancestor got the OBE for services in and around Dunkirk, and my cousin serving in 42 Commando RM, has got seven or eight medals on his uniform to date. Even if my ancestors who did military service ...

Will those serving in this country, those directing the war from Northwood for example, be awarded the medal? All the information I have seen states that those who served in zone 1 (Iraq), zone 2 (kuwait), or aircrew who flew sorites will be getting he medal.

I find that drinking a bottle of Irn Bru helps me. Its made from girders you know! Failing that water is the best idea. Once I get to the 'legless but smiling' stage, I have a couple of pints of cola.

I saw the small trimaran prototype when I was down at Portsmouth a while back. The RV Triton was believed to be more stable, with more offensive and defensive options. Would certainly be a change of pace from the similar shaped ships that we have at the moment.

I would love to see London get it, but I think Paris will just clinch it. They already have most of the stadia in place, and the transport links are second to none. Shame we can't say the same for London. Can we get the transport sorted out in the capital by 2012? Answers on a postcard to.... :P
