Jason The Argonaut, What evidence or examples do you have to suggest that the US armed forces aren't that well trained? Last I checked many countries including your own come to the states to paticipate in various training exercises (top gun/red flag) to name a few and other joint training ops as ...

I seriously don't think the rescue was made up but I do think the media exaggerated on many things. At that point in the war with the US forces advancing fairly quickly and not being bogged down in any way, and public opinion in the US high, why would they need to make something like that up?
