Sounded fun, I am a Protestant Ulsterman, or Northern Irish what ever terminology you wanna use. Do not mean to sound stupid here, but what is an oppo? Would you be able to advice a suitable minimum level of fitness I would need for the Royal Marines.

Thanks! Just wondered but I thought they were real strict with us, calling paddys as in irish, even though we arent! lol, but this is not the time or the place for that discussion!! lol! You will probably call me a fruit but ever since I was a little nipper I was always told that the Army, Marines etc treats people from Ulster/Northern Ireland whatever terminology you wanna use like dirt e.g the good old "paddy" etc. I would just like to know a bit of straight talking ...

I want to join the Armed Forces, and I am stuck between the Paras and the Royal Marines as an officer. Can anyone give me any biased views on to which one I should join??
