try and measure the 1.5 mile with a car or something. I used my old scooter to measure it for me. Seriously though mate wouldn't you use a stop watch to time yourself?

Your nearly right its 12 mins for men and 14 for women. To be honest i wouldn't mind putting in a good time of something like 9mins 45 secs or something if you see where im coming from, dont want to be slow and only just complete it in time with ease

Stokey, great advice mate, just looked up Tabata sprints there lethal haha going to give it all a go though. How long should I spend doing my hill sprint session? Oh and what do you mean by recovery run (1.5mile steady pace or something?)
Cheers

My 1.5 mile at its best was 9mins 45, have since been injured though so a slight dip in form these past few weeks currently at 10mins 15.
Once or twice a week doing Fartlek training? Was thinking of doing it 3 times or is that too much
Cheers for the quick reply

Training partner in Doncaster

Just wondering if there's anybody out there who wouldn't mind becoming a training partner of mine
I'm not a bad runner up to about a 4 miler at the moment, but I need someone to push me.
I'm currently situated in Moorends, Doncaster.
It's a great area to jog around, there's an old disused pit ...
