Apology

Hello all,
I would like to apologise for my recent sprate of postings and especially to the parties involved.
It was immature and somewhat unfair. I had intended to just leave in shame but someone has rightly pointed out to me that those involved deserved an apology.
I hope you can forgive me for getting caught up in a whirlwind that was best avoided.
Best regards,
Ant.

NEVER
You came onto this website and tried to cause havoc and upset people whom you have never met, and in your feeble and immature attempt to do so, you encountered the wrath of many. You say in your apology that it was pointed out to you that you should apologise. But it is the fact that you have been told to do so rather than off your own back that makes me want to vomit. I believe you are going to try for the Royal Marines.. well let me tell you this. WE WILL MEET ONE DAY- SO BEWARE. And the worse thing is you are going for a commission and are expected to be a leader amoungst men.........need i say more.
It will be interesting to see what you put in the NAAFI section on ARRSE, perhaps you should tell them what you have doneby way of apologising and explain to them the errors of their ways - it could be your first chance at leadership, lets see how you do.
I would also like to clarify one thing wives do not just shop at NAAFI they also raise the children single handed, when hubby is on deployment, they are father and mother when hubby is away, they look after the house and all vested interests so that when and IF hubby does come home they can settle into normal life again - in other words wives are the backbone of the forces. And just for the record i am also a former Petty Officer in the Royal Navy who is married to someone that you will most definately meet.

I fear you are going to learn a very valuable lesson,in fact more than one, the first is just because you are hidden away in cyberspace don't think your safe. The second is if you are going to upset people don't do it to those who's speciality is unconventional warfare (not me by the way) and are a very tight knit group( I include wive's and relatives in this). I too would like to see how much of a man you are and read an apology on arrse but I doubt it will ever happen.
Good luck with your career.

Please don't anyone have a pop at me BUT................
perhaps we should give the lad a break (who said which bone first??

)
We all know that he's been a gobbing off twat and we all know what he looks like and various other things, but he came back and apologised.
Yes OK, he admitted himself that someone had to point him in the right direction, but it took a bit of bottle to come back and say sorry.
If Antphillip is the future of the Forces, isn't it down to us, who are a link with the past, to set him straight???
Had it been someone else who said that they were leaving the Forum, we'd all have cried out "Oh no, you can't go, pleeeeeeeeze stay"
We've all been gobby twats in our time, some of us even did it to peoples faces before the invention that is known as the internet.....and we've all grown up into sensible people.......in some cases....perhaps
I'm a great believer in apologising if in the wrong, forgive and forget is a different thing altogether, but saying sorry is a good start.
We'd all be pretty miserable if no-one apologised for a misdemenour, no matter how big or small.
He's said sorry ....don't know whether it was under duress or not, but it shouldn't really matter, its been said...and that should be it...endex.
Point is, it seems like he may have learned a valuable lesson in life.
And no, I haven't been puffing on the waccy stuff

Cliodna,
Are you sure you've not been on the wacky backy. While i agree it took balls to come back and apologise, the fact still remains that he had to be told to do so and it wasnt of his own back. If my suspicions are correct he has only come back to apologise to protect what carear he may have in HM Forces. But anybody can put an apology together and not mean it.
He was that nieve to think that he was in cyber pace and wouldnt get caught out, it makes me wonder about his actual intellect and the fact that he assumes that we are all just minions to be played with for his amusement. He also needs to brush up on his corps history as he needs to realise that the Corp are a very specialized bunch of lads and also a close knit family. So to kick one and keep coming back for more is grounds enough for me never to forgive.
Sorry loz but this is one we will definately have to agree to disagree on, but if he wants my phone number to phone in person and apologise well i will let him have it.

Flo,
I can see where you are coming from on this one, but as I said...to forgive and forget is a different kettle of fish to accepting the apology.
Perhaps he would have wound his neck in a bit sharper if people weren't so quick to bite at his lame attempts to disrupt the Forum
I know you got the brunt of what went on, but he wasn't the only one involved (He's the only one to have offered an apology though) and perhaps as he says he got swept along with it all.....I know my mum used to say to me when i was a kid "So if all your mates jumped into the Clyde, would you jump in after them?"
Shyte...perhaps that waccy stuff isn't such a bad idea afterall...specially if I'm starting to sound like my mam

Problem being he is not a kid, he is about to attempt to join up as an Officer and is a role model for our children being a cadet instructor. Like i said previous if he really is the man he says he is, then he can have my phone number and maybe then i will accept his apology, but anybody can write something and move on especially if it is to help with his proposed carear.
Now go jump in the Clyde and cool down

Well,
I think the lad had gonads to apologise although I understand
where your coming from Flo,maybe he is trying to protect his future career, who knows, give the kid a break,he screwed up,so who hasn't?
It's tough being benign and all seeing, but someone has to do it.
