I`ve been contacted (as Hon Sec,) by Les`s daughter with a reguest for help in obtaining his Service Record, which I`m dealing with. Les passed over the bar some years ago and Pam is working on her familly history. Les was born 24/8/1906 and joined RM in 1924 ish. He went outside as Sgt, in 36 and returned to the fold for H.O. in 39. He was a Big Ships Marine and his first tour was in HMS Emerald. During the war he was on the Arctic runs, has there recently been a medal issued for this?
