I am writing a dissertation on Britain's counter-insurgency activity during the Mau Mau reballion in Kenya from 1952-1960. I know of Frank Kitson's books on the subject but does anyone know of other titles about this campaign? All my searching is turning up very little at the moment.
Also, is there any kind of association for veterans of this campaign? If so, how do you get in contact with them?

darkwarrior,
In case you haven't already, the following site is a pretty good backgrounder:

A pretty comprehensive read is "Mau Mau and Kenya: An Analysis of a Peasant Revolt (Blacks in the Diaspora)" by Wunyabari O. Maloba. There

darkwarrior,
I don't know if it will help, but a long time ago I did see a documentry film "Africa Adio". It dealt with some of the atrocities that the Mau Mau comitted against the European farmers, the one that sticks in mind is a herd of prize Friesan cattle that had been hamstrung and were walking about on there knee's.
