The Year 2050

Well what do you think of this world in 2050?
In Britain:
Cambridge will be beside the sea, the British Army will have been reduced to 3500 men, a pint of St Austell or Adnams bitter will cost £80 a pint, the Daily Mirror will be a few pence short of £16 and petrol in the UK will be £160 a gallon.
Birds will wander the streets with nothing on but men will still be asked to wear a thong. Tony Blair at 104 will still have that cheesy grin and will be heard muttering, 'I'm still the greatest thing since sliced bread'.
King George VII (formerly Prince William) will have been on the throne for 36 years with Prince Charles still talking to his flowers at Highgrove and Camilla grooming the horses.
What is your vision of your part of the world in 2050?

I can't see william being king in 2050. Old Liz will still be tottering about waving her hand about. Charlie will have snuffed it, bless him, and the Forces will consist of a dinghy, bloke with a sharp stick, And a really nasty German Shepherd that sniffs menacingly at the crotches of passers-by. And maybe a dog as well.

well ill be 65 so prob have another 20 years to work, a beer belly larger than a woman with twins. Due to asylum seeking white people will be the modern ethnic minority and mobile phones will be smaller than a 20p coin so ull enjoy all the fun of losing it many times a day. Oh and because of all the health and safety paper will only come in one form circular.

In 2050 I'd be 95.
By that time I want to have acheived my ambition of being shot in bed by a jealous husband on my 94th Birthday!

Now that is positive thinking, that could be me when 111 years of age

I'll be 120, and probably even more toothless than I am now.

We will have a lot less choice in what we do day-to-day. Children will be selected for their optimum future jobs at a yound age.
Africa, after the AIDs crisis and increasingly more violent and pointless conflict, will be inhabited by tribes once more. The population will be a tenth of what it is now.
China will be on top of the world. America furthur down the charts.
I will be 64, and living in the Alps in a log cabin away from the madness of it all. (aliveness permitting)

Try one of those cabins at Beckenried overlooking Lake Lucerne it is my favourite place, away from it all, overlooking majestic scenery, friendly people, when the mountain road is closed you can ski to the town below and catch the cable car on return.
You live up in the clean air there Peds and you will live to be 164!

Ill be about 65 and hopefully living in Japan. There at the moment for 3 weeks living with my sister. Love the place - the food, the weather, the people. Most of all the girls. Japanese women are the finest women on earth. More later.
