Well, my gran just informed me he is in the army and has been over to germany and is currently serving in belfast. Just interested in what regiment he may be with.. :)

39 Bde which is part of HQNI claim to have the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders on their strength. If that's true, then that could be the answer to your question, but I thought they were in Iraq?
Staffords all the way :D

My old coach has just come back from Ireland, he's in one of the Irish regiments not sure if its the guards or royal Irish though.

The Irish Guards were in Bessbrook Mill a while back. Think they are still there. 1 Royal Irish are still in Iraq I believe.

The Guards are in South Armagh along side a company of marines from 45 Cdo. The Royal Irish have returned home some time ago they might be in Norway at this present time doing Arctic warfare.

2RRF are currently in Palace Barracks, Hollywood and have just had their tour extended till March 2006 when they move on to sunny Cyprus. So if any of you contemplating joining up fancy a two year holiday in the sun sign your name on the dotted, take the Queens shilling and become a member of one of Englands premier infantry regiments.
You laugh at me because I'm different. I laugh at you because you're all the same.
