Army pay system..

I was wondering how the Army pay system works during training and after you complete Phase 1 and Phase 2 training?

On the Army web-site During training (new entrants) you get paid £219.24 a week/£11,432 p.a.
On completion of training (Private level 1) £258.16 a week/£13,461 p.a.

I'm guessing that New entrants, this is the pay for your first 12 weeks (Phase 1) or is this the pay level for phase 2 training too??
Private level one, is this the pay during Phase 2 or after you complete phase 2??

Also there are Private's levels 3 and 4 on the scale before Lance Corporal. Is this for soldiers that have served x amount of years service? Currently I get paid monthly, does the Army pay monthly or weekly?

I also heard from someone that you only get half pay during training and the rest of your pay is released to you after you complete training? Can anyone help clear this up?

I'll have my interview soon and can ask these questions but it would be good to get some answers from you guys too.

Thanks.

cc, i can tell you this for sure = if you are married you still get pay parades but all the rest of your cash is payed straight into your bank every month during training thsame applies if you have financial commitments. ask the personel selection officer when you go to rsc.
29 cdo and 7 rha are good jobs in the ra by the way.. :)

Not that I'll need the cash but no one does anything for nothing !!

Dunno where I heard the half-pay thing, maybe thats just for young recruits?
Thinking along 29 Cdo anyway

I'm sure I can clear things up at the AFCO but I'm full of a million useless questions!

Just when I remember......

What kind of food charges and accomadation charges are there whilst training. Pay digs at the moment and my parents are raping me every month !!! (even tho I'm hardly ever in the house!!)

Or do you pay these charges whilst training? Just popped into my head there......

I believe its around £25 for food and £14 a week for the barracks. I will check though as the AFCO gave me a sheet with all the bands and rates of pay etc on it. I'll post when I find it.

I've been reading in some infantry joining instructions today, that if you are joining the infantry - so I assume this will be the same for the rest of the army - during phase 1 and phase 2 training you are paid the option of either £30 or £50 per week. Obviously this is not your total pay packet, however will allow you enough money to be "maintained" as it were from the NAAFI and for your toiletires, and basic gear and so on. The rest of your wage is paid straight into your bank account. As far as ive heard, the £30/£50 a week is cash in hand.

Not sure if this is any help at all?

Also, as for how often you get paid, its usually monthly, however the "allowance" as it were, is weekly.
