feeling low after afghan

Hi all just wanted to know if anyone feels the same? since coming home from afghan in 2008 I have found it hard to be excited, nothing come close to the buzz I felt whilst on operations. On returning from afghan I was downgraded due to hearing loss in my left ear so subsequently left the army last year and I'm currently in the last stage of police recruitment however I'm concerned I will never regain that buzz and will constantly be trying to find it.
