Royal Marine Accomodation after training

Post by spsaste1 »

After you pass out of the 32 week training and are assigned to a unit, 40, 42, 45 etc. What is the accomodation like? Do you have to live in barracks. Do you share bedrooms or do you have your own room? I know during training you share a room with 60 people in foundation and then move into bedroooms with 6 people. But what about after training? Do you share a bedroom?

Yea you will most likely be sharing a room, and it could be anything from 1 to 6 other people from what I've seen. I can only vouch for 43 cdo's accom personally though (it's hoofing!). We share 2 man rooms with double beds and an en suite shower room. Iv seen accom at 40 cdo and it was like a big room that 5/6 marines shared.. Didn't look great but not to bad either. What's you're concern?
