could this be part of SF selection?

i saw this on the BBC website
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-21250118 and im wondering if it could be part of SF selection.
SAS/SBS/SRR or
18 Sig squadron as he was a captain in a signal squadron.
just a thought

Such a shame. This makes me think about how determined some of these guys must be, to go on and on until you literally die. It's absolutely incredible.
