Every thing helps gain points. Get some idea what you want to say so that you can talk reasonable about it. Talk about your hobbies, your sport interests, and if you play sports. Talk your school your family, do some research on the Regiment and tell them why you have chosen the Para's rather than another Regiment. If you have had relations that were in the forces talk about them. They just want see if you can express your self in a fairly intelligent manner.

At ADSC its fairly important but there was alot of very bad ice breakers when i was there so not too much to worry about. If you pass ADSC and eventually go onto PRAC they couldnt care less. They told us they dont care how intelligent we are ect its about becoming an elite soldier who is ridiculously fit. Granted, soldiering requires the abillity to think but i think what they were getting at was the fact you dot need to be a genius at maths or anything like that. Our icebreaker at PRAC was more of a 30 second talk on who we were, a bit about yourself, hobbies ect nothing to worry about mate. My main advice would be go there as physically prepared as possible

I did PRAC recently, all they were interested in was the 1.5M run, the Steeplechase, and Trainasium.
