Typical tattoo question

I've been looking at joining the TA, I'm interested in 131 Independent Commando sqdn. I can't get through to Kingsbury office on the phone so figured I'd ask this here to potentially save wasting more time:
I have tats on my neck & hands. Should I give up pursuing the idea of joining while i'm behind?!

Short answer:
Yes.Tattoo's should not be visible when saluting.

with new regulations that come in these days you'd be surprised how lucky you can get these days.
i have seen guys with neck tattoos get in just fine, and depending on how big the hand tattoos are you might just get lucky.
so long as they are not offensive you might be ok.
theres no harm in asking, so get hold of a careers adviser, or just phone up you local TA centre during parade times to insure you get a answer
