mt fitters/gse assistance needed

Hey guys, new o the forum (ish) just recently left the forces for oz, was mt tech for my sins. Just have a random question, is anyone aware when we started getting shot of asbestos brakes on bedford/dafs? just been thinking that ive worked on the braking systems without a mask before, got me concerned. replies appreciated
