day to day job of a CMT

HI
I am thinking about joining the army as a combat medical technician (CMT). I have a pretty good idea what a CMT does in a combat environment but know very little and can’t find any info about what a CMT does 9 to 5 sort of speak day to day out of a combat environment in the UK
If there is any servicing CMT's or any one with a good idea I would really appreciate your help

They dish out Algipan to any caller to the Medical Centre suffering with any ailment whatsoever.... From sore gums to sore plums, the IA drill for the RAMC bod back at base would seem to be "Give him some cream and get rid of him"
For more severe injuries sustained on camp (anything from snapped tendons to fractured pelvis) then the CMT becomes very adept at judging the length of tubigrip to adminster......
Tubigrip and Algipan... The RAMC cure-all for any ailment.....

so basically sit around in a medical centre dishing out aspirin and dealing with injuries not deemed serious enough to be seen by a nurse or a doctor?
You got any idea of what kinda shifts they work?

Don't listen to me, I'm only joshing... (I've got a fairly jaundiced view).... I didn't do the job and have been out for 10 years... and EVERYTHING's changed in ten years!
CMT is as good a job as any, with decent transferable skills for when you come out. For a proper answer on what the day to day job involves best if someone better qual'ed than me answers....
