Hi All

I submitted my paperwork, via a colleague who happens to be a recruiter for the TA, on Wednesday 21st October.
I know this whole thing is going to take a while, so that wait is not an issue for me at all.
But, what I'd like to find out, is the process from here onwards.

In essence, what happens next ....

Can anyone break it down for me into bite sized chunks?

Hi,

Probably a medical.
Then you should be able to start doing some training nights.
The recruitment team will have to book you on to centralised recruit training, this can be a few weeks or months depending.

This will be weekend training, I think 6-7 weekends in total, then a two week course Common Military Syllabus Recruits, CMSR.

Varies depending on unit. Can take up to a year to 'get in' or if you're lucky and there are spaces a few months.

Seems the British government has done an about face regarding the TA.
So maybe you can get sorted earlier SG.

Yep. I was told the fantastic news by my TA rectruitment mate this morning ... so I'm all smiles, very happy and I hope to be able to get this sorted sooner then! Happy days!

It's very sexist and inappropriate .... but I like it ... and my bum looked great in it
