how many jumps does a recruit have to do before gettings his wings as a para

i need to know as soon as possible as i have a guy at my legion that claims he was in the para`s as a driver but he only made one jump as the lads egged him on about it

i asked if he meant he was just attched to the para`s but no he claims he was a full para

i am sure that even a recruit would have to do a certain amount before going on to his trade even if it was as a driver am i right or wrong

thanks guy

8 jumps at RAF Brize Norton. 6 day jumps and 2 night jumps. Ask him where he did his parachute jump and see what he says. See if you can catch him out.

In my day it eight jumps, two from a ballon, one night jump, a couple with out a contianer and the rest with contianers. Mind you that was 50 years ago.

I did 12 on my course if I remember rightly...but Bootnecks only do it as an adqual if required for their job, whereas for the Paras it's part of their training.
