try and measure the 1.5 mile with a car or something. I used my old scooter to measure it for me. Seriously though mate wouldn't you use a stop watch to time yourself?

Use the internet mate

http://www.mapmyrun.com and a watch. Map your 1.5mile route, run out in one direction medium pace to warm up. Stop, turn around, press go and run like greased weasel shit.

Best of luck with selection.

Zoom in to where you will be running, select point from the menu on the right, then add the points on your run to create your route, its like conect the dots.

Always choose The Rifles over the Scotts .

A note on mapmyrun.com. I measure a 1.5mile route with it, and later discovered it was about half a mile short. Google earth has a measuring tool that is much more accurate.
