Hello mate when i went for my ADSC i got a sheet from my careers advisor saying that to pass ADSC u need to do the following things:

60 situps in 2 minutes
60 pushups in 2 minutes
1.5 mile run in under 10 mins an 30 secs
8-10 heaves
and doing all of those will put u in good stead for your ADSC!

So i did all of these things with a few long runs also a week because thats what i thought was needed but less was needed really. If you can follow that because its a really good guide of what u need to be doing for ADSC, I think anyways. But i think it depends on were you are going for it because i went to Pirbright and they had machines which were piss easy to do especially if you can do all the exercises above and others cant you look the Don! If you can complete all those things above and have a decent fitness then you will pass all of the fitness requirements like me. :D I done mine in April so not long ago so think others might agree with me. But some might not :D .

I'd say nothing more than a long and easy run and a bit of light weights, nothing too strenuous at all - you'll have already have done most of your more intensive training I assume? The last week should be a slow wind-down to the weekend so you're fully rested and raring to go.

I base this advice on the fact that I go training with experienced marathon runners, before a big race they always do a fairly easy session the week before, they'll build up to a peak distance/effort say, two or three weeks before the event then wind it down slowly so they dont injure themselves and can give it the most effort on the day :)

Best of luck next week!
