Alright fellas. Passed out yesterday with 946 troop. Best day of my life if not a bit surreal. Still hasn't fully sunk in yet that I've done it haha. Anyway just wanted to wish those of you in training good luck and remember to stick with it and remember why you joined up in the first place, especially when times get tough (which they certainly will). If anyone has any questions about RT or the commando tests feel free to ask and I'll do my best to answer them.
Right I'm off down the boozer to get very hard on it!!
Regards, Matt.

Been drafted to FPGRM which was my last choice lol. Oh well it's what you make of it, plus I'll get some very good training packages up there and definitely a lot of travel so it aint all bad. I was gutted at first because I wanted to go out on the next Herrick but it's not as if it's going away any time soon so I'm not too pissed off any more. What unit are you at?

Well done indeed, just one question, what part of training did you find the hardest, apart from the commando test?

Matt, don't get your hopes up too high, you MAY get those things, or you may get 18 months behind the wire! You can always apply for SFSG from there tho if you want to stay grav; think about your SQ and put in for something within a year if you don't wanna get pinged for sigs or drives though!

I was at Logs til November, joined Poole and currently away on a gucci course that should result in a substantial pay rise if I pass

All the best, not sure what the joining runs are like up there

Alright Dovey, the hardest part of training for me was final ex. Constantly freezing cold, wet and yomping for days with a bergan weighing around 125 Ilb's (I was the RO) . Bloody nightmare.

Druadan. I've volunteered for HW anti tanks so am on the waiting list which is 18 months near about. However because most of 3 Cdo are going out on the next Herrick there should be a lot of places on the course becoming vacant while they'r in theatre, so should be loaded onto one fairly soon. Oh and the joining runs up FPG are supposed to be honking haha :) .

Haha, they certainly are honking mate! I've seen a few, and it weren't pretty! In all seriousness though, it's only a laugh, and it's only one night! To get on SFSG you need to have done a year out of the box and preferably operational experience too. Im going to get myself on the next acquaint, it sounds like a hoofing job to me. And once you get up here mate, stick a chit in for FSRT. It's a lot better than being behind the wire and you'll get some trips away/weekends off etc.
Enjoy Fassers!

Good effort mate. I've got a mate up at Fas lane he's loving it just recently been sailing to spain (although they didn't make it that far haha ) . He said the joining run was a bit ...well weird to say the least , but all in all he's loving it at FPGRM . Good luck with your first post and once again well done !
