So I have an allergy to milk. Does anyone know if this would stop me from joining the army?

I'm sure the caterers could cater for it, but what about when doing field exercises and we have to live off rations?

Getting milk on field rations, not unless you milk a cow.
It was the first thing I went for when I got home, errr, the second thing I went for.

Thanks for the reply. I wasn't expecting pure milk as in a glass of milk. but my allergy includes butter, cheese etc, plus things made with parts of milk such as lactose, milk protien etc.

I'm sure the rations could include this, such as the chocolate pudding maybe.

They might tell me to avoid certain things in the rations but this will mean I won't be eating much, or maybe they have special rations I can have.

Have a look at this:

Found this when me and a mate were going to buy a few to see what they tasted like if we went on the Ten Tors. Would you get away with any of the stuff on here?

Anyone serving will be able to say if they are genuine menus or just military styles.

Possibly.

I think I'll go find a store that sells them and look at the ingredients. Thanks for finding that.
