Hello everyone, as the title suggest's i'm new to the forum. A lad who goes to the same running club as me told me about this website/forum, so thanks DANTAE. I've used the search button, and i have to say the info on here is second to none. Anybody who is going down to CTC for a PRMC, can't get a better insight into what to expect down there, the PRMC dairies are spot on, all i'd say is you can't put bottomfield or gym test 2 into word's, its a hangout that everyone has to experience.
I was on PRMC last week (20th Feb) so any questions, fire away and i'll answer best i can...

No worries mate, i didn't read it to be nasty.
As i said, i've read a few of the dairies, and there's not much i could put that's any different, i know there a good read, but i'll just give you a run down of my scores.
3 miler passed, 36 press ups it was my own fault, bad form! 62 sit ups, 8 pull ups, bleep test lvl 10.9, assualt course time was never given i think it was around 3.30-3.40, all about average scores really.

Eagle eye, when you going down for your prmc?
Don't get to hung up on scores, yes strive for maximum's but its best effort on the day, go down there with a positive attitude, they are looking at you as a whole not just your fitness, its how you apply yourself and if you can follow orders.
My scores are ok, not the best, certainly not the worst either, you might be able to knock out 100 press ups or 100 sit ups like it ain't no thing, but if you put your hand up on bottomfield its over, don't worry about assualt course times for now, just get your running squared away and your press ups, sit ups, pull ups and everything else will fall into place.

richie, from what you said about not acheiving all the top marks on prmc, i asked my mate who is a j/nco in the corps wanting to be an instructor i think, and he said that there are guys passing the prmc on lower scores because the have shown the right kind of attitude and given 110%. now i don't know if he just said that to give me a boost of confidence or what?

That's what it is all about, the right attitude and giving 110%. There looking for 'potentail' someone who is trainable, as i mentioned strive for maximum's but not everyone achieve's them, its about quality of exercise as well as quantity, doing the job how they want it done.
Do everything to the best of your ability, listen to what's being said, and you won't go far wrong.

Nice one Richie. When's your date for RT? What you said is spot on about them looking for people who give it 110% and do what their told when their told ie, 'trainable'.

Alright Matt. Haven't got a RT date as yet, i spoke to my careers officer on monday, we spoke about getting in before easter, but i don't think that suits me, doing 2 weeks training just getting into it, then having 2 weeks break, having to go back and get into it all over again, if makes sense....? So he said he'll try and get me 16/4 and there shouldn't be too much of a problem.
As soon as i get a date, i'll post it up on here...

What time did you get in your 3 miler at PRMC richie?

Hobbsy, didn't get a time mate, as you might know its 12.30 run as a squad for the first 1.5 and you have 10.30 to run the 1.5 back, so all i know is it was quicker then 10.30 and i wasn't the last back!
