3 Miler PB in relation to bleep test scores

I'm pretty sure this hasnt been asked before.

I haven't done a bleep test in a few months but my fitness is pretty good now. I was wondering what your bleep test results are in relation to your 3 miler personal bests. I'm aware that bleep tests and 3 milers are completely different but i'd like to know if there is any relationship (then i can set myself a target for the bleep test)

Cheers in advance.

The bleep test was devised predominently as a test for middle distance runners - so in theory there should be a strong relationship.

Last time I did a bleep test I got level 14 shuttle 13.
My 3 miler pb at the time was 17.45 if I remember correctly.

i haven't been running since before christmas because i was ill and just lost the routine i was in - have been cycling a lot though since its 10 miles to college and back. did my first run today and tried for 3 miler PB got 19:35 - hopefully i can reduce this to 18:35 before prmc

is 19.35 acceptable for prmc?

19 and a half mins is more than enough to pass the 3 miler, i was getting about 21mins before i went, didnt get any sleep the first night and to be honest, found the 3 mile run easy!

Is the bleep test easier than the 3 miler if you reach level 13 ?? I cant believe the officers can reach 16 :o

Well anyway i got 10 something (can do 3 miles in 18:43 on the road).

The turning around buggered things up for me. On my AIB i got 11.8 and my fitness was less than half what it is now :-?

:-?

Well that shows you that its all technique then because i was pulled off even though i could easily have continued. It measures your agility more than your cardiovascular fitness in my opinion.

indeed, i was running sub 18 minute 3 milers before prmc, but i was running everyday for 2 weeks prior to going down, the only rest day i had was the day i went down on the train to ctc, i got 11.6, my breathing was fine and wasn't breathing hard at all, yet my legs where on fire and just wouldn't move, due to lack of rest. Rest is important, i also agree its more of a technique than pure cardio.

if i was to do prmc again i would have ATLEAST 3 days rest prior to going down.
