A minute of hell as told to me by a ex member of 7RHA.

Also known as The opportunity to beat the shit out of someone without getting a bollocking for doing it!

During Recruit training in the Seventies at CTCRM you got into a ring and tried to beat the shit out of another recruit who also tried to do the same to you.

My opponent was a six foot three West Indian Gentleman who went on to be the Inter Services Heavy Weight Boxing Champion. I was informed that I lasted just over nine seconds before he totally wasted me. :D

It's designed to access just how aggresive recruits are and also to weed out the wimps at an early stage of training.

It's one minute of controlled agression, Para style. 8) It's not boxing, so no guarding or dodging is allowed.

It's a test of how much punishment you can give and how much punishment you can take, of whether you can keep your head up and press forward, or pull back and cower when things start getting hairy.

after the one minute and the judges say who won does the loser fail even if he gave his best?
