Hi guys,
I just got back from a knee specialist who thinks ive torn the cartiladge in my knee (bugger!), so is sending me for a scan next week. I did the RMAD last week and passed really well, and a couple of days after i was sent the info and a PRMC date on the 21st November. I was holding out sending the confirmation form back to the AFCO until after seeing the specialist, so now that ive seen him would you advise me to send it off or not. Given that the PRMC is 10 weeks away, i may be fit enough for it even if i have torn my cartiladge. Shall i phone them anyway and let them know the situation, i'd rather they didnt think they're gonna have problems with me though.
Cheers

Your better off taking advice from someone on here who is going through their training or already has done - but id say phone them and let them know your situation mate. I can't hurt to let them know, its in your best interests to keep them updated on your condition because they might be able to help you.
Wish you all the best.

What is the point in your rocking up to lympstone with an injury, especially an injury like torn ligaments?!? You'll do yourself no favours. Going slightly off the subject and not directing it at you alone, don't have the idea of being fit enough for the PRMC.
TOO MANY people on here have that idea in their head. You want to be training to beat the requirements. You don't have to be superman, but it does help. Take for example pressups. Don't do sets of 60. Do sets of 65 or 70. That way when you do get down to CTC you can prove your worth to the training team. You want to impress them. Anyway back to your question. I personally would contact your AFCO and tell them the full story

Well when i say fit enough for it, it means that i should have recovered enough to be able to pass the PRMC, not just that i can do 60 pressups, 80 situps and 11.2 on the bleep test.

Think GR has the right idea here.
Knee injuries take a long time to recover - 10 weeks is really nothing!
My niece injured hers the during spring and it's still not right so she has to have another operation
Don't take a chance mate, give it time to recover, if not you'll regret it so be honest with your own ability and the AFCO
