What is the best way of breaking in boots, i heard of a few different methods. any one any ideas!! As i am joining on 2nd October.

This has been covered quite a bit, use the search button and you should get a good bit of info, i'v just been walking in mine then coming home and giving them a polish, but leave the polish on the boots and let it soak in, don't take it off, this helps.

With all due respect, I thought this was a joke. The only thing you can do with boots is put them on your feet, put one foot in front of the other and lean forward......so I would do that in a repeating fashion!

Perfectly reasonable question. But as above, has been done to death, so a search will give you loads of options.

As druadan says, there are suggested and tested ways of breaking in boots, yes it includes wearing them alot but there are other techniques, which you will made aware of when you pass PRMC, and only if you pass PRMC.
