Hello, I Start my Recruit Training for the Parachute regiment on 10th september at ITC Catterick. I was just wondering if anyone here starts on the same date as me. If so what sort of training have you been doing until you go?

Hi mate
Welcome to the board
Will have to leave the para bit to you

But if you do a search under training there are loads of related articles, working at your running and strenght training as hard as you can won't do any harm at all.

I wonder why there are not near 4000 posts in the para forum...
Maybe its just because the army lads just get on with it like any good soldier should
Hope you do well at the ITC.

Hi Spooky,
Maybe it's because most of the guys going for the Marines use a bit of initiative to get a heads up on stuff.
Regards,
Greg.

"Maybe they should find it out themselves"
Maybe then need to ask someone to find out the information!
Personally I would like to see more Army/Para posts but then again I am biaised aren't I LOL
The point of the forums is to share information, whether it's for the Army or Marines, so let's go to work

Correct, I haven't read
some of the posts.
I agree, some of them are absolute dogsh!t but the majority of them are worthwhile.
I also believe the Marines forum is so popular is because of the ongoing recruitment campaign. I can't remember ever seeing an advert for the Parachute reg.
Regards,
Greg.

Methinkgs you've taken what I said a little too seriously Greg.
Truth is, most of the stuff in the RM forum is generic fitness stuff at home on any fitness board - minus the weight carrying bits.

I never thought you were being argumentative, I guess I'm just defending the bootneck forum!

Greg.

Aye, I'll defend it to the last but got to agree with him about the quality of the posts
recently. Even so there are some quality bits of advice in there if you go back a few pages and set aside a little time.
