my many appologies for not introducing myself at an earlier date. seems that i have been battering round the forums and its about time i came over with the goods!
martin walkinshaw, joined up at the end of 76, sept to be more precise, and after a few months in lymbo moved to join base coy at condor after the usual bite on every draft chit, that is " places to avoid" soon to join 41 for their tour of west belfast and to cut a long story short went to 40 after that, rm plymouth m flight attatched 45 cdo ( 3 Cdo Bde Air Sqn ) gpmg door gunner in gazelle, falklands mmm fun!! back to 40 in time for the carrot Cyprus, belize then back to the province in 88 in cross, into iraq for op haven and decided enough was enough during that and the corps came up with the oppertunity to go in 95.
find myself just about back to reality in a funny kind of way, thanks to "Jacko" and Neil Hodgeson!! running the Somerset Branch of the South Atlantic Medal Association and will keep posted on further developments. yours aye marti w
