Might as well make it a shirt and tie job, can't go wrong with that. :)

If I was you I would just go down in a pair of jeans and a smart top.

Your in now, no need to impress for an interview. Its not as though the Full Screws are going to treat you any nicer because your wearing a whistle and flute.

Just make sure you have everything you need as you wont get a chance to buy anything once you start basic. Unless the NAFF(and its bound to be a decent one being at a ATR) sells what you need.

Anyway good luck in the Army, its not a bad life.

I'd go with shirt, tie and smart trousers. Its not about impressing now that the interview's over, its about not standing out the first day for being dressed differently.

The thing is he would probably stand out if he DID wear shirt, tie and trousers. I might be wrong but I would imagine all the lads will be wearing smart casual clothes.

Only Officers and Guards would wear a suit when turning up for day one week one. Theres nothing wrong in wearing a suit. I just dont think you need to.

bonjourno, i started my RTS for the Air Force in November, and everyone, bar one preson, wore shirt, tie, trousers, shoes. Don't wear denims mate, the lad that did got a bit of a first day bollocking and was told to go put his smart trousers on.

may be different for the army, but better to go with something rather than without something.

Also you will need to wear them on the appropriate occasions, such as day trips etc...

Fair one Alex, better to be over dressed than under.

Its the same as if you see someone and you are not sure of there rank and how to address them just be safe and call them Sir. Cant go wrong then.

totally agree with that mate, personally ive called a Sergeant, Corporal by accident and did he let me know i was wrong, hell yeah. As addressing them Sir, we had to call them Staff if we are unsure.
