Congratulations boys on getting your date. They do teach you to swim if you can't, but i was under the impression that swimming lessons are done in your own time, after the normal training day finishes. Giving you less rest time or prep time for the next day. It may be helpfull if you do spend some time practicing over the next few weeks.
Congratulations again boys

Keep on swimming it will all help, but swimming is included quite alot in the early stages of training as part of PT. You will often have a swimming period after an MSC or MEC circuit, unless you dont try hard enough and have a double circuit or a nice period of camp circuits. If you are struggling with swimming they used to have group swims on the weekends, and PTI,s on duty often would give advice etc. I imagine this still happens or something similar. You will have plenty of instruction on technique, which will improve you no end. I was quite a poor swimmer but come the end of week 4 or 5 i,d improved a lot, so i wouldn,t worry too much.
