I'm told that upon passing my PJFT I will be on a PRMC in late October, so presumably the same one.

Hey there mate,
I belive I'll be on that PRMC, aren't 100% sure yet as depends on AFCO but that is the date mentioned over the phone to me.

Like you just cranking up the fitness a lot in expectation and trying to squeeze in a bit more upper body work than normal.

PM if you like, I'm a nondescript New Zealander so look out for one there

Cheers aye, Benjo

Good luck lads, I was under the impression that the earliest date you could get would be mid-November.....

I'm also going on an acquaintance day in Birmingham on the 5th oct. Will there be anyone else from this site joining me?

To be honest mate, I just took two pairs of shorts and two t-shirts/vests. A lot of people just wear the same stuff though.

Also, remember a shirt and tie to a.) turn up in and b.) have your interview in.

Best of luck lads on your PRMC and fingers crossed, if you pass, see you down there on 7th November (when I start my recruit training - if this injury clears up in time).

I've packed...

3 x Vests

3 x shorts

1 x swimming trunks

7 x socks 7 x boxers (told to take alot by afco)

Then Ive got civilian clothes for clean periods of the course (jeans, tshirt and another pair of trainers!

Its alot really

its on in a bigish holdall, have i gone over the top? especially with the holdall. I can imagine people turning up with just a carrier bag :o

The holdall's fine mate. We had a couple turn up with suitcases. No one says anytihng about it :)

You only do 3 tests where you need your own PT kit so you may not need 3 sets of all (unless you want clean ones all the time - up to you really). I would take a jumper too as I didnt take mine and froze me arse of! Also, remember some type of t-shirt/jumper that isnt sporty as you arent allowed to wear sporty stuff in the food area. One more thing, take another t-shirt as I found we had a fair bit more 'civvy kit wearing' than I expected and only had one t-shirt to wear.

make shore you take at least to big towels because you get about 2-4 showers a day and the dry rooms are crap i was always drying myself with a wet towel, it wont do any harm taking allot of clothes (wish id taken more)

Best of luck mate, just keep going and pay attention to the corporals at all times

Sorry for the hijack. Should you wear a shirt and tie the very very very first time you visit AFCO and enlist your interest in the RM?

The first time you go in you could just wear a smart shirt and jeans. I think I did.
