How long did it or do you think it will take for you to get from the point of deciding you want to join - to being ready for it in terms of fitness levels. I've recently started at the gym went for my first run in years and managed 2.3mile in 21minutes, I was fairly chuffed with that as I dont see myself as ovally fit at the moment (I know it was on a treadmill which isnt the same but still)
So, how long have you been training and are you in your opinion anywhere near ready?

Hi adam, I'm not going to be attempting to join for a while, but heres a link you might find useful to get yourself in shape

I'm not really a big fan of running machines, but they are useful if your nursing an injury or developing technique.

Adam, went from 0 to 60 in about 3-4 months, though had some injury problems which slowed me down. At the end of that period I might not have been quite ready for PRMC (though I think I could have given it a good shot), but then I really started from 0, so sounds like it would be plenty of time from where you are starting.
Also quite sure it can be done faster, eg I had over a month off during that due to injury.
PS I did it using the training programme posted above, with more on added to the upper body circuit - pyramid punches (to get used to exertion while muscles tired), tricep dips, 1.5 x pressup number done as another set of pressups but with knees on ground (to build repetitions). Also did most of the aerobic as swimming after physio banned me from running.
