Gurt big blokes built like brick shithouses? No.
Guys that can run for their Country? No.
Guys who can swim like a Fish? No.
What makes a Bootneck is basically Pig Ignorance and the ability to say "What the heck! tis only pain. Lets do it again!" even though it is the last thing you ever want to do. It Tis what makes Royal different from the rest.
If you have that in your head then you will Hack it. Otherwise go somewhere else. 99.9 need not apply.

the green lid is an admirable thing to carry on your head and will earn admiration from others without it; but you can still be a c**t marine. respect is earned by who the person is, not taken by virtue of head-dress.nachtachrach wrote:haha spot on artist. that's one of the reasons I want to join the Royal Marines - 99.99% need not apply. If I could be part of one of the most elite fighting forces in the world, then in my mind that makes me respectable (which is just about the only thing that matters to me).

exactly spooky
respect is very high on my agenda as well which is why i still cannae decide to ATTEMPT to join up as officer or other (term?) I know everybody says if you have the qualifications then go for officer but its when you go there on your first day as a 2nd Lt. and you get the NCO's looking at you like a twonk who dont know what he's doing. At least if you go in as a non-officer (still dont know the right term, for fear of abuse from ex's lol) then people will know they can depend on you and you know your stuff. W.W.W
P.S. for any royals now, do they still have the system of when you've been in for 5 years you get a badge to sew on and every other 5 years you get another etc? just my dad mentioned it some time and i was interested. Cheears

You do them by lifting your body off of the floor through the tension of the tricep.
Make sure your back is straight, looking straight ahead, with the elbows in
Sorry, couldn't resist

A great quote from the "Destination: D-Day" series:
"Right, you've done the hard bit, now make it look easy"
Desire. Grit. Determination. Victory.
