Just got off phone from my afco and i have got my formal interview next wednesday. Think im pretty well prepared but I was just wondering what I need to know about the 9weeks at halton and if there is anywhere on the web or here that goes into detail about the RT. Have done a search on here but so many posts include the word halton so thought I would post.
Would be very grateful if someone can either go through it or point me in the right direction.
Thankyou very much
Peter

Sorry for my stupidity but what are the phases of the 9 weeks broken down into, wanted to go and watch the halton video again at my afco but instead they booked me in for my interview. I believe its around 4 isnt it? If anyone could help me out i would appreciate it.
Bricking it a little for my interview but im sure im going OTT.
Cheers
Peter
p.s Can anyone confirm overseas bases now are just RAF Akrotiri, RAF Gibraltar, RAF Ascention Island and Mount Pleasant. As i have conflicting information.

As far as im aware, Gibraltar is no longer RAF Gibraltar. Im pretty sure its now Devils Tower Barracks (army), which the RAF use when they go to gibraltar, the runway is Gibraltars only runway, so used by airlines also, and the main road into spain crosses the runway. I digress, i dont think gibraltar is RAF gibraltar. Phone the AFCO to check what answer they want you to know

Here's a solution for you....turn up 40 minutes early at the AFCO (or even the day before) and ask them to pop the video on for you!

Add to that RAF Goose Bay - these are the only permanent bases where RAF personnel do fixed tour lengths.
Gib is a Joint location. Goose has shut. There is still an RAF Akrotiri and Mount Pleasant, although there is nothing pleasant about it. Ascension island does have RAF personnel stationed there but is not an RAF Unit.
Depends what you mean by bases really, are we talking Main Operating Bases and/or Deployed Operating Bases as well? In which case there are several more to add to that! See the RAF Website and Operations for all the guff as I dont want to say toooo much without checking, and I cant be bothered when you can do it.

I'm on GDT phase at the min. Just finished and passed all first aid. Got rifle week next week including aggression day

then it's onto to CPT (4 day exercise). Cant wait to get into blue phase, just the day 51 inspection to pass now.
