Thought I would say a quick hello to every one on here, as it has been said the computers have been f@@ked down here for a while.

Good to see every one is getting on and loads more joining up, well all is fine down here at sunny Lympstone! , had week 9 gym pass out today, what a hang out I was well knacked, it was going quite well but due to our performance we ended up getting a couple of extra camp circuits( which I hate) and although 95% of people managed 4 rope climbs we only got an average pass, which was a bit of a downer especiallly as we we were all knackered afterwards!

Start of week 10 on Monday and exercise Hunters Moon( hope the weather gets better!) then a long weekend and a couple of weeks on the range followed by Easter leave.

Well done to all those who have passed a PRMC recently and good luck to those who are waiting to go on one.

If any one has any questions on the first couple of weeks I will be more than happy to help.

Laters John. :D

Initially you won't carry weight. Later on you will do rope climbs with fighting order (32lbs).

What is fighting order? I keep hearing about it. Is it just webbing with everything in it?

Fighting order means your webbing and rifle, the webbing should be 21lbs and i think an Sa80 weighs about 9lb.

You start off on bottom field with nothing and as you progress they build up the weight ready for BPT pass out.

As I was never tested on the SA80 on any progress test I think it is about 8.3... :P
Stix,
With your length of Service you must have tested out on a Brown Bess :D :D :D

Sticky Blue was actually tested on the (S)ingle (L)ong (R)ifle. And if I remember rightly the safest place to stand was right in front of him.
Oh the memory of the waves crashing on the shore at Kingsdown ranges and the leisurely runback to North Barracks along the seafront. Bliss.
