When I did my AST I was just told what Id scored for! wasn't even told my actual score! The AFCO should be able to recomend trades for you!

Air Cartography - They aren't recruiting into this trade at the moment - and will be unlikely to recruit into it for the next 18 months!?!

Sorry if that is bad news. If in doubt, check with your AFCO.

after my aptitude test - 8th Feb - they told me that it had just become a priority trade the day before, thats why they gave me the interview. But on Tuesday they told me it was now closed.

Now that sounds like a popular trade!

Must be because of the ease of the job like the man says

Ha ha..very true. Not quite in a position to get engaged in the banter yet. Civvies don't get to play that game!

Suggest that "greenwannabee" puts his mouse in a drawer and locks it until he's got something constructive to say from an informed position;ie. when and if you pass out you'll begin to realise that the world doesn't revolve around you and your ill informed opinions. It takes more than one TG to make a Force. Looking at some of his other posts on here about joining the regiment this is just another Walt who should stop dreaming and learn to walk first. Having spent some time in RAF Regt, infantry and SF circles I can assure him that his presence is neither required nor requested!!!

Ha ha. Passing out of TG comes with a short, sharp education about 'pecking order' and 'experience'.

Nice one mr greenfella - you really are going to be such an asset to the RAF IF you ever get in, you have such an unstoppable ability to upset almost everyone. Melly, just out of interest, and I am not trying to slight the AFCOs but did they mention postings within that trade??? They are very limited in terms of locations.
