Surely if he has decided that the Army aint for him then he has 3 excuses.
I doubt 'I miss my girlfriend' is a valid excuse but if anyone can correct me jump in

.
Why does he want to leave?

Isnt he just allowed to leave ?
I mean whats the point in the army spending anymore money on training this person if at the next availiable opportunity he's going to leave?
As for the three reasons, well he's already got 2.
1. Army life is not for him
2. The army is just wasting money on him that could be better spent on another recruit who wanted to be there.

Try doing the Clinger from Mash, just dress up as a woman and tell them that you are queer, that should get you out the door quickly

It's legal now Tab, as long as there are no 'open displays of affection'.

I know that for the Navy basic training you fill out a contract to do at least 4 weeks of the basic training. Is it the same for the army? A minimum time allowed before you leave? If so, the contract was signed by him showing that he agrees to this, and so no case can be held.

just so you know that im givin you correct info,i did serve as a dc at atr pirbright for 2 yrs between 2000 and 2002 so not too much has changed since then, however it basically does not matter what excuses you got cause they wont be interested.what they will be interested in is the criteria, which is
if your under 18 you can get out anytime with written consent from you parwent/guardian
the other is the first 4 weeks of foundation,(depends on which corps)
the other is pvc(personal voluntary release which if is still correct is between week 8 and week 10
if however you a re-enlisting.e.g youve done basic before and got out and re-joined,then ur theres for 4yrs....sorry

The army is not for him, basicly he didn't realise how much ironing and block jobs you have to do in training. Tell him to stop being a fanny get his head down and crack on.

I found it too tough, to be honest. However, I had enlisted in the Parachute Regiment, who throw it at you from day one. What I should have done is got a transfer to another unit, instead of leaving, and then tried All-Arms P Coy years later.
Leaving is one of the biggest regrets of my life. Don't make the same mistake; it'll haunt you for years to come.

tell your brother to grab his handbag and what testicles he has,and try out for the WRAC,on second thoughts, meybe try the Brownies because the WRAC ladies may be a wee bit to tough for him.
